Bravo to the commenters on this great little film, its truly appreciated,my sincere thanks as well
God that’s a crazy amount of physical labor.. I could only imagine doing that for a living
He kinda looks like Alain Delon at that time as well…
Sir, if place not ideantified then how you said the exact filmed year 1906. ?
Les sept mercenaires inspiré de les sept samouraïs, c’est un homme qui chute d’un immeuble…c’est à l’œil.
I need to look up a headger in the phonebook asap because i need a hedge after watching this video!
Hard work, but good for the body and the soul. It was a better way to live and healthier.
5:49 Careful!
Great film. Great actor! Paddy is the boy!
pfft. I remember when I visited Kutub Minar in 2019, I spit on it. There was also that grave nearby, I spit on that as well when nobody was watching lmao. My DNA is still there somewhere. I hate my country and my ancestors, and my own ethnicity. True story.
Daughter of a father who defined culture daughter who wrote in between travel's. Lost in translation
Where can I get this thing I wanna know plzzzz
I love the old ways !
Harold Abhrams Leaning forward and Dipping forward at the line a great example on how to finish and Win a Gold Medal Race 🙂👍
I need to see Mandy walk up a hill in San Francisco while smoking! She could earn the you rolled down a hill in SF 😂 Thank you Diane for the laughs!
Fascinating and skillful; but what the hell is it for?
Guy dressed better to work in a field than most in 2024 do to go out to eat dinner.
The good days
Others have asked this here. So I will ask it again. WHEN will we see Mandy in the USA? And I certainly don't mean literally. OK?
Thanks to British Indian Atleast they made these amazing films
This hedging (and the making of wattles) are such beautiful, useful ways of working in balance with nature and with what's at hand. It doesn't cost anything but one's time and effort. So much more skillful and worthy than any idea put forth by Bill Gates or his ilk.
They wave to us from the past
tranquil diversion from war. no aerial dog fights, bombers, V rockets...
Where is ade,???
the woman laughing is fkn annoying.
Is he still on character during the interviewer? What a man!
Danny - so refreshing no pretensions just plain speaking - you feel like you always get the real deal
we must all be students of history. real history. nit the bbc re write of history where black people invented anything and everything. they were all living in the Stone Age in the 1700's white St Petersburg was being built. all they ever 'built' was mud huts. they didn't even know what a wheel was, let alone mathematics or science.
the amish have it right. work hard all day in the sun, no pharma, no government interventions, grow your own food. be happy. stay away from rap music, sports, celebs, etc..
Hated it!!
If you left your clogs on the doorstep today, they would be gone in a flash. St Davids day, but don't mention St Georges day, I did, but I think I got away with it.😁
The oldest known surviving hedgerow in England is the so-called Judith’s Hedge, Cambridgeshire, at over 900 years old.
I'm 62 (male) and cringe at how sexist the men in this documentary are.
Sounds like she had borderline disorder.
The attendant literally just pushes a button! I wonder if there was more to it behind the scenes and in reality the attendant was actually there to keep the peace between the women.
I can't help but think..is he a relative of Martin Clunes..?
Hedge AKA Osage Orange is the hardest wood and burns the hottest. If you put it in a stove, you can literally melt it. The stove that is. Native Americans used it to make bows. Hedge rows are thick in Northwest Missouri.
I don’t blame him for ruining Star Wars.. I blame his producers.. they should have demanded some constraints
@06:36 that brush by and hip touch would get him fired and jailed today.
ua-cam.com/video/1nJr8Botu7E/v-deo.htmlsi=FbEVdhrhCJ3qqoJr
they prefer the term Hedgelord
If only children and adults could still experience that kind of lifestyle.
Bloody good film
Oh, I understand now, they split the branches to bend them. I thought they just bent the branches over somehow, of course that would only work on the thin branches. I don't know the purpose of digging a ditch before the hedge. I've read stories about hedges, I don't remember people mentioning the ditch.
Wow, this video taught me something I never knew existed! Thanks for sharing it!😊
Does anyone else get the feeling we need to learn these vanished skills quickly, as they'll be making a comeback soon?
How proper! Who wears a tie to do manual labor these days?
A smoker!
Wow! This is super interesting. I wonder if this could be done with North American native trees with thorns. Maybe it would work with the Devil’s Walking Stick. Thanks for this historic wisdom
Devil's walking stick is quite brittle. I've had no luck using the seeds to grow a hedge. I've been looking for native hawthorn.
May 2024 One of the most beautiful movies ever made! A true classic. 🤗💓
Ahhh, so THAT'S a hedge!! 😊
